Program Notes:

Italian Dreams was composed in 2006 to accompany Carrie Mae Weems’ video of the same name.  Against a static backdrop of slowly changing timbres and harmonies, a dream state is created, interwoven with hints of Nino Rota’s film music to accompany the Felliniesque imagery of the video.
